Flexi-cut Machine Operator

To ensure that the Flexi-cut Machine is running the highest quality product in the most effective, safest and productive manner.

Position Details

  • Ability to learn the programming of the Flexi-cut Machine to maximize the yield as well as meet our current and future customers specifications.
  • Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP’s).
  • Set up and calibrate Flexi-cut Machine each morning ensuring proper machine functionality.
  • Communicate with maintenance any issues with the Flexi-cut machine.
  • Report machine abnormalities to supervisors.
  • Complete the Flexi-cut Verification Log daily as a form of machine monitoring.
  • Follow the Flexi-cut Cutting Schedule that’s provided to you by the Production Supervisor.
  • Ability to communicate with Plant managers and/or Supervisors with any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of company’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level

  • Able to lift 50 pounds, reach, bend and/or sit for 8–10-hour shift.
  • Able to follow directions.
  • Able to use equipment per manufacturers & company instructions.
  • Must be able to read and write labels, instructions and code dates.
  • Able to explain job functions to outside auditors.
  • Self-motivated.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Good communications skills, hardworking, dependable, safety conscious
  • Able to communicate and make logical decisions.
  • Read, write English and know basic math.

  • And able to push/pull heavy loads using hand jack.

  • Cold and wet environment (40-45F) temperatures.
  • Sudden schedule changes during seasonal volumes.
  • Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance.
  • Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate attention.
