Position Details
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Sales / Marketing experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- English language proficiency required
- Seafood, food manufacturing, protein, or perishable goods industry experience strongly preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Maintain CRM profile
- Minimum 20 new out reaches a day
- Utilize Rocket reach, Google, and industry relationships to develop leads
- Execute cold sales calls to promote seafood products and establish new clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by creating your own niche
- Build and cultivate long-term customer relationships leaning on Pier Fish’s 3 pillars that have been established for over 100 years

- Solicit replenishment orders from existing customers, must be proactive
- Process and complete data entry order transactions accurately and efficiently in our ERP system
- Maintain customer portals (Metrics, Sustainability, FSQA/Specs, etc.) as needed
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure timely fulfillment
- Communicate any increases or decreases in usage
- Communicate any booked Ads
- Monitor customer pricing and adjust as needed
- Be proactive when customers have issues. Deescalate and resolve issues quickly and document credits if needed.
- Complete marketing-related tasks and special projects as needed
- Attend customer food shows, ride-along, and sales blitzes to grow and solidify the relationship
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions and sales activity, to ensure your sales numbers are trending in the right direction.
Additional Duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support Pier Fish Company goals
- Cross-train with other sales team members to cover each other’s accounts

Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based within a seafood manufacturing facility. The role may require periodic presence on the production floor to communicate with production, shipping, and receiving teams. When entering production areas, appropriate safety and sanitation protocols must be followed. The environment include exposure to cold temperatures ((approximately 34°F–45°F, varying seasonally), noise, and active warehouse operations.
